No. 19 Ole Miss may not be the favorite in this showdown against No. 1 Alabama, but having come away with two wins in as many consecutive years, they could possibly make it three in a row against Nick Saban, a feat that would make them the only team to do so three years straight in the Saban era.

Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly has spread the wealth with the football this season, throwing to six different wide receivers who have each come away with a touchdown. Kelly has averaged 266 yards per game and has seven touchdowns this season. Can he start the SEC campaign off on a good note a win against the best team in the nation?

In Week 1 against No. 4 ranked Florida State, the Rebels gave up a lot of yards. Over 580 total yards, to be exact. They cannot let this happen against the Alabama offense because with the Crimson Tide defense, who shows no mercy to their opponent, this could turn out to be a blowout. Kelly cannot turn the ball over as he did against FSU, a game where he threw three interceptions. Alabama’s defense will have a field day otherwise if he wants to be irresponsible with the ball.

Last year’s nightmare for Alabama was turnovers. They committed five against Ole Miss which turned into 24 points for the Rebels. This season alone they’ve only turned over the ball three times. They may want to replay that in their minds as the game goes on. If they want revenge, turnover should be the word of the day for them.

Alabama’s offense will give Ole Miss quite a test, especially so on the ground, as they have freshman upstart Jalen Hurts, who I think should have quite a good game. The Crimson Tide running backs need to have a big game to help seal the win.

Alabama will have a few obstacles to overcome to become an undefeated team and Ole Miss is one of them. Will the Rebels grab the Crimson Tide’s trunks by surprise again?

This may be a game to remember or just another win for Alabama.

Prediction Score: Alabama 43, Ole Miss 30
