It’s been a busy Saturday in the world of SEC recruiting as five teams across the conference landed at least one commit. The Alabama Crimson Tide were part of that field of teams as they scored two commits in the Class of 2017 including a very talented JUCO cornerback.
Jhavonte Dean of Blinn College is the JUCO cornerback who has decided to play ball in Tuscaloosa starting in the 2017 season. Dean is the top JUCO cornerback in the nation per 247Sports and the eighth-ranked JUCO player in the country. The news was first reported by Alabama 247Sports’ Ryan Bartow.

Dean should provide an impact at a possible position of need once 2017 rolls around as there may be some secondary departures all around.
In addition to Dean, the Tide landed a commit in the form of three-star offensive lineman Hunter Brannon. Brannon, a native of Alabama, tweeted out the news of his commitment on his personal Twitter account on Saturday.
Dreams come true! I am proud to say I have received a offer from THE University of Alabama and I have committed! pic.twitter.com/aFLerQi8bZ

Brannon will look to follow a long list of hard-nosed, fierce offensive linemen to play for the Crimson Tide over the years.
The additions of Dean and Brannon allow for Alabama to maintain their spot as the top recruiting class in the SEC over the likes of Georgia and LSU. The Crimson Tide currently sit at second in the nation behind Ohio State, a program that has picked up several blue-chip prospects over the weekend.
