NFL Draft 2016: Cody Core drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals

Ole Miss makes history with Core's selection.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Ole Miss Rebels wide receiver Cody Core has just been selected by the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Bengals used the No. 199 overall selection on Core, a talented wide receiver for the Rebels who played alongside Laquon Treadwell during his time in Oxford. He got better as time went on and saved his best for last, as he picked up 644 yards, 37 catches and four touchdowns in his senior season.

With Core's selection, Ole Miss makes history as for the first time since 1985, five players have been drafted from the Rebels. Core joins Laremy Tunsil, Laquon Treadwell, Robert Nkemdiche, and Fahn Cooper as the group of five who will head to the NFL this fall.

Best of luck to Core at the next level!
