NFL Draft 2016: Connor McGovern selected by the Denver Broncos

Mizzou offensive lineman Connor McGovern is headed to the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos.

The Broncos spent their fifth round choice on McGovern who is the second Tiger to be drafted this year, joining fellow offensive lineman Evan Boehm who went to the Arizona Cardinals earlier on Saturday.

McGovern played at guard and tackle throughout his career in CoMO and should be a welcomed addition to the Broncos line if he makes the team. He joins Boehm, Mitch Morse and Justin Britt as recent Mizzou lineman to be drafted and head to the NFL. He will join former teammate, defensive lineman Shane Ray in Denver as well much like Boehm is joining Markus Golden in Arizona.
