When LSU quarterback Brandon Harris lost his starting job to Danny Etling two games into the season, speculation ran rampant that the senior QB may look to finish his collegiate career somewhere else next season.
On Monday, Harris put those rumors to rest via Twitter.
@bharrisqb1 I hope you don't transfer, no matter what the fake fans said about you. I hope you know the majority want you at LSU

@GeauxTigers415 you don't have to worry about that because I'm not

Obviously, Harris could still change his mind, but he seems to be committed to staying the course at LSU.
In 27 career games with the Tigers, Harris has thrown for 2756 yards and has 20 touchdowns to 10 interceptions. The smart money is probably still on Etling to be LSU’s opening day starter next season, but Harris staying around could very well turn into a positional battle over the summer.
However, it’s worth pointing out that Ed Orgeron is a staunch supporter of Etling, as he noted following LSU’s 10-0 loss to Alabama where he stuck with the Purdue transfer despite struggles.
