Alabama and Florida will meet for the ninth time in SEC Championship Game history on Saturday. But there’s no lack of familiarity between them in Atlanta.

This Saturday, Alabama and Florida are set to face off in the 2016 SEC Championship Game. In the game’s 25-year history, the Crimson Tide and Gators have met a record nine times. The only matchup with more frequency in SEC Championship Game history is Georgia-LSU, and the Bulldogs and Tigers have merely met just three times.

‘Bama and UF have been able to have encounters in each of the last three decades (90’s, 00’s, and 10’s) and perhaps not so coincidentally both schools have the most SEC Championship Game titles with the Gators holding a slim 7-6 edge over the Tide. In the series’ history, it’s Even Steven as they’re knotted up at four wins apiece. Something will surely have to give on Saturday and most are expecting the Tide to win and win by a lot.

So, this begs the question: What matchup between the Gators and Tide has been the best?

We’ll let you decide! Vote in the poll below and discuss in the comments as well if you’re so inclined.
