SEC leads 2016 NFL Draft with 51 draft picks
Another year. Another DOMINANT draft performance by the SEC.
— SEC Network (@SECNetwork) May 1, 2025
5️⃣1️⃣ NFL Draft picks - the most by any conference. pic.twitter.com/f3jAL0csPq
Guess who led yet again? That's right. For the tenth draft in a row, the Southeastern Conference led the charge in draft picks. In total, 51 players from the conference were selected, the most of any conference in the country. The Big Ten came within four of the SEC's mark but the streak lives on. The last time the SEC didn't lead in draft picks was all the way back in 2006. With a loaded class coming in 2017, it wouldn't be shocking to see that trend continue yet again.

What with the fact that the Vols will be playing the Virginia Tech Hokies this fall at Bristol Motor Speedway, it appears that we're already getting into the spirit of things in early April with these dope racecar helmets inspired by the Volunteers' helmet and famed checkerboard design. What'cha think?

.@LSUCoachMiles is a great coach and a better man. He is a fantastic ambassador for our state. I hope he remains our coach.
— Gov. Bobby Jindal (@BobbyJindal) November 28, 2025
Of course, Jindal's approval rating in Louisiana is currently hovering around 20 percent, so I'm not sure that this is the kind of endorsement that Miles really needs

The Auburn-Golloway Thing Gets Really, Really Ugly

Your money quote, from fired Auburn baseball coach Sunny Golloway's lawyer: "This is a program that hired a disgraced Bruce Pearl, yet now seeks to make a good man and a good coach, who is nothing but a winner, the fall guy." Golloway's lawyer also suggests that he has a lifetime contract.

With a minimum of 20 passes, Greyson Lambert just set an NCAA record for completion percentage at 96%. He finished 24 of 25.

He hit the minimum of 20 pass attempts, and he completed 24 of 25. That's a new single game record. Not great, Carolina defense.

Treon Harris to Start Ahead of Will Grier for Florida
I don't have anything to add beyond what's said here, other than that I think this is a vaguely ominous sign because Harris's ceiling as a player isn't all that high.
