The Georgia Bulldogs will get some assistance on the quarterback front.
J.T. Daniels has been cleared and will be made available for this weekend’s game against the Auburn Tigers. That’s the word according to Georgia head coach Kirby Smart. Smart announced Daniels’ clearance during his virtual press conference on Monday afternoon.
The Bulldogs struggled a bit to get it going on offense with D’Wan Mathis and Stetson Bennett in their victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday. The hope, of course, is that Daniels will be able to give them a jolt if he is able to see the field often. And in fairness, Smart also added that Daniels “has to show us he can function efficiently with his knee” and that there is still an “open competition” for the QB position.
Daniels, of course, transferred from the USC Trojans to UGA in the offseason.
