The Texas A&M Aggies come into this game following a bitter nail-biter to Clemson at home. The Aggies have their rebound against UL Monroe, the last game before their conference schedule starts.

Kellen Mond is looking to continue his hot start. Last game, he threw for 430 yards and three touchdowns against Clemson. Through both games, Mond has been able to spread the wealth in terms of targets, with Jhamon Ausbon and Jace Sternberger getting a few more. Trayveon Williams is looking to bounce back and find the end zone this game. Williams has averaged a ridiculous 7.3 yards per carry so far this season.

Looking at UL Monroe, Coach Jimbo Fisher has praised their defense. The Warhawks have held both opponents to under 100 yards rushing, although they have yet to deal with the SEC run-heavy offense. Expect a decent pass rush against Kellen Mond on Saturday. The WarHawk secondary gave up 378 yards through the air, but 5 of those contributed for close to half the total yardage. Look for Ausbon, Jalen Fisher and Kendrick Rogers to make big plays and torch the secondary for long touchdowns.

The Aggies defense is going to have a field day when it comes to dealing with ULM’s offense. The Warhawks have struggled finding the end zone, although their offense averaged 6.1 yards per play against Southern Miss. Most of the penalties on the WarHawks came from the offense as well. Daylon Mack should be able to man-handle the O-Line.

Look for a great offensive showcase by Texas A&M and expect UL-Monroe to play tough and have a few big plays. On defense look for this game to be a tune up before conference play hits, as ULM does have a respectable passing attack. Texas A&M will probably run the score up early with Trayveon Williams carries, so expect Nick Starkel to get reps.
