Chad Morris’ 2019 recruiting class got better on Friday with the addition of a Texas-born defensive tackle. Enoch Jackson, a native of the town of Mansfield, committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks. Jackson announced his commitment to the world on Twitter.

Jackson is yet another Texas recruit that has committed to the Razorbacks. Morris, who spent the last few years with the SMU Mustangs, appears to have maintained an emphasis on the Lone Star State (as well he should). Enoch gives Arkansas six Texas recruits in their 2019 recruiting class. he joins the likes of offensive tackle Beaux Limmer (Tyler), safety Myles Brooks (Pflugerville), fellow defensive tackle Carl Williams (Lufkin), outside linebacker Zach Zimos (Richmond) and wideout TQ Jackson (Jefferson).
Enoch Jackson is listed as a three-star recruit per 247Sports Composite. The 6-foot, 290-pound Jackson is ranked 662nd in the nation in the 2019 cycle. Among all DTs, Jackson ranks 45th and finds himself 80th among all Texas recruits. Prior to his commitment, Enoch held offers from the Ole Miss Rebels, Clemson Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs and Texas Tech Red Raiders, among others.
Arkansas’ class is gaining some serious traction. Chad Morris has the group at 21st in the nation for 2019 and 10th in the SEC. The former holds a lot more weight than the latter at this point in time, as a recruiting class that’s in the 20s nationally could help prop Arkansas back into serious business in the conference.
