The Georgia Bulldogs have been taking some hits in the recruiting realm lately, and another body blow was dealt on Thursday. Five-star running back John Emery Jr. announced that he has decommitted from the Dawgs. Emery made the announcement on his Twitter account:

Emery is the fourth player to decommit from UGA in recent weeks. Jadon Haselwood, Jalen Perry and JD Bertrand also have decommitted from Kirby Smart’s 2019 recruiting class, and as a result they have fallen down to 4th in the nation and 3rd in the SEC behind the Alabama Crimson Tide and Texas A&M Aggies.
It may be worth noting that you won’t have to look too far to find Emery’s possible landing spot. The Destrehan, Louisiana native figures to now be in the lead for the LSU Tigers. The Tigers make a tonnage of sense for a lot of reasons, obviously, and Ed Orgeron could very well make a splash if he’s able to get his pledge.

There’s no telling where this will go next. But, given the buzz right now, do not be surprised if he heads to Baton Rouge.
