Martin, from Decatur, Alabama, was going to be in the SEC regardless of his school choice Thursday. His final three, announced earlier this summer, consisted of Auburn, Alabama, and Florida.
Per 247Sports, Martin is the seventh-best player in Alabama in the class of 2018, and is currently Auburn’s highest in-state commit in the class.
He also is the first running back in Auburn’s class, though they have a couple athletes who they may end up putting at running back.
Auburn’s class now consists of ten players, and is ranked 23rd in the nation (8th in the SEC).
