The LSU Tigers are goin’ dancin’.

Although they reportedly have the ‘interim head coach’ thing going on for them, LSU is back in the NCAA Tournament. This is the third consecutive appearance for LSU after making it last year and in 2019, and also marks the 24th appearance in program history. Nine of those 24 appearances have now come in the 21st century as they’ve made it at least twice in the last three decades (00s, 10s, 20s).

LSU went 22-11 this year. Led by Tari Eason, the Tigers are an interesting squad. Offensively they have seen their fair share of struggles. This, however, is one of the best defenses in the nation. They rank second in Turnover% on the defensive side of the ball, fourth in 3-point defense, and fifth in Adjusted Defensive Efficiency. Whoever faces the Tigers will certainly have their work cut out for them.

6-seeded LSU begins the NCAA Tournament on Friday against Iowa State. TV/streaming info to follow.
