The LSU Tigers have parted ways with men’s basketball coach Will Wade.

CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein was first to report the news that Wade, who’d been the coach for the last five years, was on the outs. Brody Miller of The Athletic would later confirm the news on Saturday afternoon of Wade’s departure.

The NCAA sent a notice of allegations to the LSU men’s basketball program earlier this week. That has a lot to do with this ousting, as does the number of allegations piled up. Granted, the rule changes that have taken place along with the sheer level of the double standards present are points to consider here. But, I suppose you can’t blame them for wanting to part ways.

Anyways, the LSU program has shown itself to be a pretty strong one. With the number of quality basketball programs present in the SEC, you’d suspect the Tigers will be looking for a big name to replace Wade. It will be interesting to see which direction they choose to go in here as there are quite a few good ones out there to be had.
