WEDNESDAY’S SCHEDULE
(All times Eastern; All odds from FanDuel)
Auburn Tigers vs. Georgia Bulldogs
Time: 7 p.m.
TV: ESPN2
Watch Online: WatchESPN
Spread: -4
Total: 149.5
Moneyline: Auburn -190 | Georgia +160
Auburn took a hard loss on the chin against Mizzou over the weekend. Now the Tigers will hope to get things right against Anthony Edwards and Georgia. The Tigers, despite their record, as we know have struggled a bit lately. Even while they went on their recent tear of seven wins in a row, five of them were won by four points or less. Additionally, Auburn has struggled at times away from Auburn Arena. They are 2-5 ATS in true road games and just 4-3 straight up. Georgia has recently struggled, losing four in a row and eight of their last nine games, and 10 of their last 12. Will Auburn provide them an opportunity to play a competitive game? Time will soon tell. One thing to watch will be to see how 3-point play affects this game. Neither team is great at shooting from outside, but both are great inside. That will likely be where the game is won.
Texas A&M Aggies vs. Alabama Crimson Tide
Time: 7 p.m.
TV: SEC Network
Watch Online: WatchESPN
Spread: Alabama -10.5
Total: 145
Moneyline: Alabama -640 | Texas A&M +460
Alabama is staying around in Tuscaloosa after their weekend defeat of LSU. They’ll welcome lowly Texas A&M to town, and they have an opportunity to hit over the .500 mark in conference play again. The Tide have been rolling plenty of late, and even in recent losses have played very competitively. Texas A&M is coming off a win over aforementioned Georgia, but had been in a bit of a slide before then. A win over ‘Bama would be a major upset, which I do not see happening here.
South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs
Time: 9 p.m.
TV: SEC Network
Watch Online: WatchESPN
Spread: Mississippi State -5.5
Total: 145
Moneyline: South Carolina +190 | Mississippi State -240
The biggest game of the day is the final one. South Carolina and Mississippi State are set to tangle down in Starkville. SC has been red hot, winning six of their last seven entering play and eight of their last 10. State has been great lately too, winning seven of their last 10 entering play. They have one of the better offenses in the conference and have been exceptional on the boards. But the problem for them may be that they could meet their match defensively. SC’s defense has been outstanding this season, as they have owned the perimeter and the interior, too. If they turn this into a grind it out affair again, then South Carolina has a chance of pulling off an upset. And frankly, I could very well see that happen.
