Coming off a big win over Texas, the Arkansas Razorbacks kept their foot on the gas Saturday, improving to 3-0 with a 45-10 win over the Georgia Southern Eagles.
KJ Jefferson completed 13 passes in 23 attempts, throwing for 366 yards and three touchdowns. Jefferson spread the ball around to his receivers, but the highlight came in the third quarter when Jefferson linked up with Treylon Burks for a 91 yard touchdown pass.
Arkansas went off for 664 yards of total offense. Of those 633 yards, 364 came in the air and 269 came on the ground. Obviously the caliber of opponent comes into play in this situation, but for the offense to have a two-pronged attack is certainly a good thing.
The Razorbacks held Georgia Southern quarterback Justin Tomlin to 65 passing yards and 65 rushing yards.
Arkansas taking care of business bumped the Razorbacks up to #16 in the AP Poll. They’ll look to remain undefeated as they host #7 Texas A&M this week.
