The Arkansas Razorbacks have made a splash hire. Eric Musselman, who built an extremely tough Nevada Wolf Pack team through transfers and solid recruiting in the Mountain West Conference, will join the Razorbacks to the tune of 2.5 million dollars a year.
Musselman is a high energy, high IQ coach. His focus on player development in his system, one of if not his best attributes. As seen on his Twitter, he is constantly in one-on-one drills with his seniors. Musselman has also been a phenomenal recruiter over the past few years out in Reno. He was also able to constantly bring in transfer players in order to build talent. Simply put, he’s a fantastic roster builder wherever he goes.
Musselman went 110-34 at Nevada in the MWC. A former NBA and NBA G-League Coach, he was totally built for it. Although he will struggle early with the Razorbacks, eventually they will rebound and contend in the SEC. I give Musselman two years before he starts to cause a ruckus. It’s a fantastic hire for the Razorbacks and I can’t wait to see it work out.
