NBA Draft 2018: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander drafted by the Charlotte Hornets

It’s not the first time Kentucky’s had multiple lotto picks. Won’t be the last, we reckon.

The Kentucky Wildcats are on the board again. The Charlotte Hornets selected guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with the 11th pick in Thursday’s 2018 NBA Draft.

Kentucky already saw Kevin Knox get taken with the 9th overall pick by the New York Knicks earlier in the evening. UK has yet another lotto pick, giving them multiple lottery picks yet again.

In one year at UK, Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 14.4 points and 5.1 assists per game. He also averaged 4.1 rebounds while shooting a crisp 48.5 percent from the field and 40.4 percent from the 3-point line. At 6-foot-6, he will certainly be a threat playing as a primary ballhandler for the Hornets.
