Arkansas has officially clinched a Top 16 seed in the NCAA tournament. They swept Texas A&M to cement their spot. The Aggies still have some work to do to get to a hosting spot. They finish out the season with South Carolina.
Death, taxes, Florida winning a series. The Gators took two of three from Georgia to improve to 41-12. They all but have the top overall seed locked in at this point in the season.
LSU’s late season push continued. They took two of three from Alabama in Baton Rouge. Their RPI is at an even 50, so they still need to beat Auburn and win a few games in the SEC Tournament. But the path is there.
Missouri will be an interesting case. They lost yet another SEC series, and most likely need to win two of three against Tennessee to make the SEC Tournament. The interesting part is with their RPI being 36t and a bunch of top 50 RPI wins, will the committee will overlook the bad conference play to put the Tigers in? It’s something to watch.
Vanderbilt kept their regional hopes alive by taking two of three from Tennessee. They have a chance to seal their berth next weekend when they finish the season with Kentucky in Nashville.
