We’re getting down to the nitty gritty this season as only a few weeks remain before the SEC Baseball Tournament.

There are a couple of big-time matchups in midweek play this week. Namely the one that pits Arkansas with Texas Tech. These two Top 10 teams will be doing battle in Fayetteville on Tuesday and Wednesday in a major nonconference series to say the least.

A big opportunity arises for Tennessee, as the Volunteers face off with 25th-ranked Tennessee Tech on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Vols may be in the basement of the SEC East, but at 24-18, they still have a shot to go on a bit of a run. Garnering a two-game sweep or even a split of Tennessee Tech could go a long way towards achieving that.

In addition to all that, Thursday’s SEC matchups should whet the appetite. Auburn and Florida square off while LSU tackles Ole Miss.

It should be another exciting week of SEC baseball!
