While every other team in the conference got their seasons underway between last Thursday and last Saturday, Ole Miss had to wait all the way until Monday night for a Labor Day showdown with the Louisville Cardinals. The good news for Ole Miss and their fans is that the Rebels powered through the Cardinals and showed just how talented this team can be this season, especially on offense.

Ole Miss quarterback Matt Corral finished the game 22/32 for 381 passing yards and a touchdown, in addition to a rushing touchdown. Dontario Drummond was responsible for nearly half of those yards, finishing the evening with nine receptions for 177 yards and a touchdown. Running back Snoop Connor added two touchdowns of his own.

Ole Miss gets an added bosst this week with the news that head coach Lane Kiffin will be out of COVID-19 protocols and back on the sideline after missing the Louisville game.

Austin Peay allowed just 228 yards of total offense last week in their season opening win over Chattanooga last week. Quarterback Draylen Ellis had four touchdown passes.
