Bianca Belair is going to WrestleMania.
The former Tennessee Volunteers track star won the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble on Sunday night. In doing so, Belair is now assured of a championship match at WWE’s biggest show of the year on either April 10 or 11.
Belair put up an incredible effort in the match. She lasted 56:52 in the match, a record-setting performance. This means that Bianca not only shares the record for most eliminations in a Women’s Royal Rumble (8, set last year), but. now also owns the record for the longest time spent in a Women’s Royal Rumble Match.
Belair has been on the come up since arriving to the brand last October in WWE’s annual Draft. For several years now, she’s been labeled a ‘can’t-miss’ prospect and a future star in the company. Her raw athleticism, size, stature and strength has made her stand out, and she’s also proven to be a terrific talent in the ring and on the microphone, too. So, to see her win the Rumble is something of a prophecy and confirms the idea that Belair is destined for greatness in the company.
Speculation has Bianca pit against current Smackdown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks at the big show in April. Banks has been champion since October and is one of the best in-ring talents in the world today. Should this be the route taken, it will be a treat for all. And it may wind up main-eventing one of the two nights that WrestleMania is taking place.
If you missed Belair’s performance, you can check it out on the WWE Network. Subscriptions are free for the first month and then $9.99/month after. You can catch Belair on Smackdown each Friday night on Fox, but you might also want to pay attention to Raw tonight on USA Network, just in case she makes an appearance. Belair’s match at WrestleMania will take place either on April 10 or 11, live in Tampa, Florida at Raymond James Stadium.
