For the second straight year, the Auburn Tigers have had a player taken in the first round of the NBA Draft. In 2019 it was Chuma Okeke going #19 overall to the Orlando Magic. Wednesday night’s 2020 NBA Draft saw the Cleveland Cavaliers select Auburn forward Isaac Okoro with the fifth pick.
Okoro landed on both the All-SEC Freshman Team and All-SEC Defensive team last season, following his 12.9 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.
Okoro’s size and athleticism makes him an intriguing prospect. If the Cavs can get him to develop offensively, he could be very good in the NBA.
