LAST WEEK

Arkansas: The Razorbacks lost to Auburn on some absolute shenanigans and bailing out of Bo Nix and the Tigers. You’ve likely heard all about it by now.

Ole Miss: The Rebels played an historically great offensive game against Alabama, but it ended in a loss for Lane Kiffin’s bunch.

The Sam Pittman Era at Arkansas has gotten off to a much better start than anyone could have imagined, despite the Hogs being 1-2 on the season. As noted above, they were robbed of a victory over the Auburn Tigers last week by the SEC officials. While the offense isn’t setting the world on fire statistically, a meeting with Ole Miss’ nationally-worst defense could be just what the doctor ordered to get the Arkansas offense into gear.

The flip side to Ole Miss’ defensive issues is their offense ranks top 10 in the nation in both yards and points per game, as Kiffin has developed a bit of a juggernaut. Obviously it didn’t work out against Alabama because of the defense, but if Ole MIss hangs 48 points on Arkansas, they likely will have won the game by 20+ points.
