We keep moving along in the 2019 NFL Draft, as another stud from the SEC is now off the board.
Joejuan Williams of the Vanderbilt Commodores has become the latest player from the conference to be drafted. Williams has been selected by the New England Patriots with the 45th overall pick, making him a second rounder in this year’s draft. He’s the highest pick Vandy’s had since Zach Cunningham back in 2017, as Oren Burks wasn’t taken since the 3rd round last year.
In three years, Wililams picked up four interceptions (all a season ago) with 119 tackles and six TFL. He performed very well a season ago and certainly improved his status enough to become a second rounder.
Best of luck to Williams with the Pats!
