The Alabama Crimson Tide’s basketball coaching search is over.

Athletic Director Greg Byrne announced Wednesday that Buffalo Bulls head coach Nate Oats would be taking the reins in Tuscaloosa.

Since taking over for Bobby Hurley in 2015, Oats guided the Bulls to the NCAA Tournament in three of his four seasons, and got them to the Round of 32 in two of those three appearances.

At 44 years old, Oats is the SEC’s second-youngest head coach behind LSU’s Will Wade.
