After years of finding creative ways to lose, the Kentucky Wildcats finally found a way to beat the Florida Gators last season. This season however, it will prove to be more difficult with Benny Snell gone and Terry Wilson out for the year.

While Terry Wilson wasn’t exactly a Heisman candidate, he was a solid quarterback with SEC experience. It’s now time for Sawyer Smith to step up and show what he is capable of. Kentucky has a stable of running backs who have all contributed and the defense, while not as talented as last year, is still as ferocious. Kash Daniel is a force of nature and will lead a hungry defense who will give Feleipe Franks some trouble.

But even with a banged up CJ Henderson, this Florida defense will still be better. Their pass rush will live in the backfield of Kentucky and wreck havoc. Kentucky will be able to run on them a bit, but Florida should get just enough offense to make Kentucky lean on the passing game. Florida will be able to make just a few more plays in the second half. Expect an ugly game, but not a super-low scoring ugly game.
