Hoping to bring the best SEC coverage to TSK!

With just over a month until SEC football officially kicks off in College Station, I am excited to be a part of Team Speed Kills.

My name is Noah Taylor, and I’m one of the new writers brought on to help bring you the best coverage of SEC football! I am currently a junior at the University of Tennessee where I major in Journalism and Electronic Media.

I’m not totally new to SB Nation. It has actually been a year to the day (July 27, 2017) that I began writing for Rocky Top Talk, SB Nation’s Tennessee blog. In addition to helping cover the Vols, I am the Lady Vols softball beat writer for the Daily Beacon, UT’s student newspaper. I also help cover local high school sports with the Daily Post Athenian out of Athens, TN and I do freelance work for Saturday Down South.

I have a passion for covering this conference. I remember when my dad taught me the importance of why I should root for SEC teams in bowl game the night of the 2005 Sugar Bowl clash between No. 2 LSU and No. 1 Oklahoma. I’ve had an interest in every game, every tradition, and every aspect of all teams in the Southeastern Conference and it’s why I am excited to have this avenue at Team Speed Kills.

I was born and raised just outside of Gainesville, Florida. I am the offspring of two University of Florida grads and the husband to another. I grew up going to Gator games during the Spurrier era, my first being Florida vs The Citadel in 1997 when I was five years old. When we relocated to Knoxville last year for my wife’s job, I transferred to the University of Tennessee, where I now get to experience-and help cover- another program steeped in tradition: the Tennessee Volunteers.

I hope to bring you exciting, and unbiased coverage of your teams in the best way that I can, and I hope you enjoy the content as well!
