While John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats lost a lot of talent to the NBA Draft (what else is new), they also gained a lot of talent on Wednesday morning, as Stanford Cardinal graduate transfer Reid Travis announced he was committing to Kentucky.
I want to thank everyone who has helped me with this process of taking the next step to pursue my dreams. I couldn’t be more excited for the future! pic.twitter.com/xIwtBfFzLr

Travis chose Kentucky over another school nicknamed Wildcats — the reigning champion Villanova Wildcats.
Travis played four seasons at Stanford, but his 2015-16 campaign was cut short after just eight games due to injury. In his four years, he averaged 14.6 points and 7.7 rebounds per game, and was an All-Pac-12 player last season.
The addition of Travis likely makes Kentucky the top team in the nation heading into the 2018-19 season, and it makes the Wildcats, yet again, a favorite for a Final Four.
