The NCAA Baseball tournament starts Friday. Florida, Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Georgia all drew top eight seeds in the tournament. Of the three, Arkansas will have the toughest regional of the bunch, joined by 2-seed Southern Miss, 3-seed Dallas Baptist, and 4-seed Oral Roberts. Southern Miss is loaded with top-tier talent and hosted a regional themselves last year. Dallas Baptist is a mainstay in the postseason and that four seed? Yeah, The Golden Eagles won 38 games. None of these teams are a slouch.
The good news for the Hogs? They are 30-3 at home.
Joined by these four in the Field of 64 are Auburn, Texas A&M, LSU, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, and South Carolina. Ten teams from the SEC are represented this weekend, and Texas A&M is the only one that is lower than a 2-seed, they are a 3-seed in Austin.
If you love college baseball, you love this time of year, topped off by the marquee College World Series in mid-June.
Our prediction for this weekend has Florida, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Georgia, and South Carolina all advancing to the regional round. It is worth noting that should Arkansas and South Carolina advance, they will be playing each other in the super regional round.
