CBS Sports revealed the broadcast windows for their upcoming season of college football coverage. As always, the SEC is heartily featured, seeing as the conference and the network remain intact with each other.
The first game of the season that CBS will air pits the Tennessee Volunteers against the West Virginia Mountaineers. That game will be “unique” in that it won’t be taking place in either Tennessee or West Virginia. The Vols and Mountaineers instead will face off at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina at 3:30 p.m. ET.
The following week, as is often customary, the Georgia Bulldogs and South Carolina Gamecocks will renew their longstanding rivalry, also a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff. On September 15, we will see the LSU Tigers face off with the Auburn Tigers at, you guessed it, 3:30 p.m. ET.
As of now, we don’t know the broadcast windows for September 22, 29, October 6, 13 and 20. But, on October 27, we’ll see a doubleheader. Georgia and the Florida Gators will partake in the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party at 3:30 p.m. ET in Jacksonville. CBS will then air a non-SEC game in primetime, as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will face the Navy Midshipmen.
The next two weeks will see an SEC doubleheader. The first, on November 3, will have a 3:30 p.m. ET/8 p.m. ET slot, and then the next week on November 10, will be a Noon ET/3:30 p.m. window. November 17’s game is unannounced so far, but we’ll see another SEC game on Black Friday at 2:30 p.m. ET before the final regular season broadcast on November 24 at 3:30 p.m. ET.
The SEC Championship Game will, of course, take place on December 1 at its usual time of 4 p.m. ET.
