The Florida Gators are the 2018 SEC Champs.
The South Carolina Gamecocks gave them a run for their money, but Florida prevailed by the score of 3-1 to win the SEC Softball Tournament on Saturday night in Columbia, Missouri.
South Carolina pitcher Kelsey Oh held the Gators as much as she could, but Amanda Lorenz, the SEC Player of the Year, cut the rope to lead Florida to victory. Lorenz hit her 10th bomb of the season and also had three RBI in the game.
Oh pitched five innings, allowed four hits, three runs, walked one and struck out four. The winning pitcher, Aleshia Ocasio, pitched seven innings, allowed two hits, one run and had three strikeouts.
