The Georgia Bulldogs are, apparently, well liked by the New England Patriots.
Sony Michel was selected with the 31st overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Pats. Michel is the third Bulldog to be selected in the 1st round, joining fellow Pat, Isaiah Wynn, and Roquan Smith, who was picked 8th overall by the Chicago Bears.
Michel amassed 3,613 yards in his career, including a career-high 1,227 yards in his senior season. He had a career-high 16 touchdowns in 2017 and 33 total touchdowns in his entire career at UGA. He had 1,136 yards in his sophomore season, his previous career-high, and finished with a mark of 6.1 yards per carry in his career in Athens.
Michel joins a backfield featuring Dion Lewis and an offense that Tom Brady certainly has a firm handle over.
Congrats to Sony and best of luck with the Pats!
