Hayden Hurst of the South Carolina Gamecocks just became the latest player from the SEC to be drafted in the 1st round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Hurst was selected 25th overall by the Baltimore Ravens. He is now the 7th player from the conference to be picked in this year’s NFL Draft.
Hurst amassed over 1,200 yards at South Carolina, including a year of 616 ias a sophomore in 2016. He picked up 559 yards receiving in his junior year in 2017 and had two touchdowns. He finished his career with three TDs and also a rushing TD that he picked up a season ago, as well.
Hurst plays well as a blocker and a pass-catcher as well, and should hopefully inject some life into Baltimore’s offense.
Congrats to Hayden Hurst and best of luck to him with the Ravens!
