The second Alabama Crimson Tide defensive star is off the board!

Da’Ron Payne, the Tide’s big, pass-catching defensive tackle was just drafted by Washington in the 2018 NFL Draft!

Payne racked up 102 tackles in his three years in Tuscaloosa, along with 3.0 sacks, 5.0 TFL and even picked up an INT. He also had five passes defended, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He excelled in 2017, putting up career-highs in solo tackles (21), assisted tackles (32) and passes defended (3).

Da’Ron has plenty of talent and skill to play at an elite level in the NFL. We’ll see what he can bring to the table, but he showed off a boatload of talent while he was in crimson and white.

Best of luck and congrats to Da’Ron Payne with Washington!
