Notre Dame grad transfer Jay Hayes commits to Georgia

Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs added some defensive help on Wednesday afternoon, when Notre Dame grad transfer Jay Hayes tweeted that he would be joining the Bulldogs.

Hayes initially committed to Oklahoma a couple weeks ago, but apparently had second thoughts.

In his time at Notre Dame, the Brooklyn native recorded 39 tackles, four TFLs, and one sack.

Hayes will likely compete for a starting spot or be used in a rotational role for the Bulldogs this season.
