Tuesday, March 27
(18) Mississippi State 11, Alabama State 0
The Lady Bulldogs squashed the Lady Hornets with their bats in this game. Grace Dabbs homered for the first time this season and finished with three RBI. Mia Davidson also put one over the fence for the 12 time this season and collected two RBI. Reggie Harrison chipped in a double and an RBI to lead Mississippi State to victory. Candace Denis was the winning pitcher, allowing one hit, walking one and struck out four batters in three innings.
(14) LSU 4, Southern Miss 1
Shelbi Sunseri led the Lady Tigers offensively with one home run and triple with one RBI. Amanda Doyle has two RBIs to contribute to the win. Maribeth Gorsuch pitched seven innings, allowing five hits, one run, one walk and struck out six batters for the victory.
Wednesday March 28
No. 5 Florida had a doubleheader and split with FIU.
Game 1: Florida 9, FIU 0
Aleshia Ocasio was the Head Honcho in the game. She dominated offensively and defensively. Ocasio pitched five innings, allowed only one walk and sat down six via the strikeout. She also hit a triple and had two RBI. Jordan Matthews also made contributions with a double and had two RBI in the Gators victory.
Game 2: FIU 5, Florida 0
The Gators only collected three hits and had two errors. Amanda Lorenz led the team offensively with a double. Hannah Adams and Kayli Kvistad each singled in the loss.
(6) Georgia 4, Kennesaw State 1
Justice Milz, Mahlena O’Neal, and Jessica Morgan all had RBI, as Morgan led with two. Kylie Bass pitched five innings, allowing two hits, one run, two walks, and had four strikeouts.
(12) Texas A&M 8, Lamar 0
Riley Sartain, Ashley Walters, and Kristen Cuyos led the Aggies with the bats to beat Lamar. Cuyos homered, doubled and had two RBI in the win. Walters homered with three RBI and Sartain also popped one over the fence with one RBI. Tori Vildales had a double with two RBI to add runs on the board. Samantha Show was the winning pitcher, allowing three hits, three walks, and struck out seven in six innings.
(8) South Carolina 1, Furman 0
Tiara Duffy tripled to get her 10th RBI to lead the Gamecocks to victory. Kelsey Oh pitched all seven innings, allowing three hits, walking two and struck out eight batters.
