Let’s just call this how it is, the Arkansas Razorbacks (2-6, 0-4) and Vanderbilt Commodores (3-5, 0-4) aren’t playing for much more than pride at this point in the season. While bowl eligibility isn’t technically out of the question, both squads have a very uphill climb to make a bowl game.
Despite that, one of these two teams will walk away with their first conference victory of the season on Saturday. That has to count for something.

The Razorbacks picked up a 23-0 victory over Tulsa last weekend in which they looked quite good on both sides of the ball. Meanwhile, the last time we saw Vanderbilt, they fell 14-7 to Kentucky in Lexington.
Arkansas has been a much different team at home than on the road, averaging 31.5 points per game in Fayetteville and posting a 2-2 record. It’s also worth noting that Ty Storey will return to the top spot on the depth chart after missing Arkansas’ win over Vanderbilt last week.
For the Commodores, it seems like everything has been right except playing a full game. They were in a winnable position against Florida two weeks ago, they were in a winnable position against Kentucky last week. They lost both games. If the ‘Dores can play a full 60 minutes, Arkansas might be in some trouble.
