The LSU Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide are obviously no stranger to each other. Their most recent tussle will now be in the recruiting world, as 4-star wide receiver Justin Watkins has weeded his choices down to the Fighting Tigers and Tide. As per Bud Elliott of SB Nation, the class of 2018 receiver will decide his school of choice at the Under Armour All-America Game.
Star WR Justin Watkins plans to commit during the @AllAmericaGame. Down to LSU and Bama. @rollbamaroll @valleyshook

Watkins is one of the best receivers in America. The 5-foot-11, 172-pound wideout out of Clermont, Florida ranks 21st at his position in a rather deep class. Watkins also ranks 20th in the Sunshine State and 103rd overall.
The East Ridge HS standout boasted offers from quite a few D1 powers. He was a previous commit to both the Florida State Seminoles and the Texas Longhorns. However, it’s LSU and ‘Bama that have caught his interest the most, it appears. He took an unofficial to Alabama back in July and an official to the campus in Tuscaloosa earlier in December. Watkins also officially visited LSU in November. According to 247Sports, those are the only schools he visited since his decommitment, so it comes as no surprise that they’re the two finalists.
He has proven to be a dynamo in both the receiving and return game. So, whoever he goes to will be reaping rewards, likely in more ways than one.
