Alabama football recruiting: 2017 wide receiver Jerry Jeudy commits to the Crimson Tide

NCAA Football: Arkansas at Alabama Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

The Alabama Crimson Tide made a splash on Thursday night as they picked up one of the best wide receivers in the country in the Class of 2017.

Jerry Jeudy of Pompano Beach, Florida chose Alabama over the likes of SEC resident Florida, among a slew of other contenders, and will give the Crimson Tide yet another talented, high-profile wide receiver when he makes his way to Tuscaloosa in the fall of 2017 like so many before him.

Jeudy is a four-star recruit, the ninth-best player in the state of Florida, the sixth-best wide receiver in the country and the 35th-best player in the nation per 247Sports Composite Rankings. Jeudy announced the move on his personal Twitter account on Thursday night.

The rich have gotten richer as Alabama already sported one of the nation’s best recruiting classes. The Crimson Tide still trail the Ohio State Buckeyes for the top sot in 2017, but rank at a comfortable second still after Jeudy’s commitment. They also still have the top spot in the SEC, holding a high lead over Georgia, LSU, and Texas A&M.

Jerry Jeudy will be playing in the Under Armour All-America Game when the time comes around. Below is a mixtape video of him from The Opening event earlier this month, courtesy of Under the Radar Highlight Videos.
