The Dallas Cowboys have just selected Mississippi State Bulldogs quarterback Dak Prescott.
The Cowboys spent their fourth round compensatory pick on Prescott, a much accomplished QB for the Bulldogs in his time in Starkville. Prescott helped lead the Bulldogs to an Orange Bowl appearance in his years at State and was one of the best QBs in program history.
One might suspect that Prescott is the backup to QB Tony Romo and, if luck falls his way, could one day prove to be his successor.
Best of luck to Dak with the Cowboys!
