Verne Lundquist bids his final farewell

While we’ll still hear Uncle Verne’s voice for hoops and The Masters, no longer will we hear him on Saturdays.

Verne Lundquist’s college football broadcast career is over.

The legendary and iconic voice of CBS Sports wrapped up his lengthy career calling college football on Saturday afternoon following the conclusion of the Army-Navy. As was to be expected, Lundquist gracefully exited the booth, bidding farewell to the viewers and graciously thanking all of his colleagues from the past and present.
