The AP Top 25 and USA TODAY Coaches Poll were both issued out on Sunday afternoon, and each featured an assortment of teams from the Southeastern Conference.

The AP Top 25 and USA TODAY polls have eight teams from the SEC in the mix, including two in the Top 10 as Alabama and Texas A&M check in at No. 1 and No. 6 prior to their upcoming encounter this weekend. Alabama retained their spot at the top of the polls after a 49-10 thrashing of Tennessee while A&M clung to the No. 6 spot after an idle week of action. Both the Crimson Tide and Aggies have the same spots in the USA TODAY poll as well.

In the AP poll, the next team from the SEC comes in at No. 15 as the Florida Gators jumped up three spots after their victory over Mizzou. Arkansas and Tennessee find themselves at No. 17 and No. 18 after the Razorbacks’ victory over Ole Miss and the Volunteers’ aforementioned loss to Alabama. Tennessee dropped nine spots from the No. 9 position in the poll, while the Hogs jumped up to 17 from No. 22.

With regards to these teams, things look a little bit different on the USA TODAY Coaches poll side. Tennessee tumbled all the way down to No. 19 after the loss, an eight-spot fall after being No. 11 going into the weekend. Florida meanwhile is up to No. 12 in the country after being at No. 14 going into the weekend. Arkansas, on the other hand, is also at No. 17 after the victory over Ole Miss.

The aforementioned Rebels find themselves at No. 22 and 23 in the Coaches and AP Top 25 polls respectively. Auburn is ahead of them in the AP poll at No. 21 while the Tigers are at No. 24 in the USA TODAY poll. LSU is ahead of Auburn in the Coaches poll at No. 23, while they find themselves at No. 25 in the AP poll.
