The rich got richer on National Signing Day.
Texas A&M, already boasting one of the best classes in the nation, somehow improved upon that. Five-star defensive lineman Shemar Stewart out of Opa Locka, Florida announced he’s committing to the Aggies.

Stewart picked the Aggies over the Miami Hurricanes amongst a slew of other high-profile programs. As we’d mentioned, he’s joining an absolutely loaded class at A&M. It’s one that now has seven five-star players with the addition of Stewart on NSD. And those account for seven spots in the Top 25 of the 247Sports Composite rankings.
What’s more, Stewart’s addition means the Aggies have four of the Top 10 defensive linemen in the country including three of the top four. Stewart joins top-ranked Walter Nolen and fourth-ranked Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy in that regard, and then ninth-ranked Anthony Lucas, a four-star D-Lineman, is also in the bunch (Stewart ranks third, by the by).
Shemar Stewart checks in as the 10th-ranked player in the Class of 2022. The 6-foot-6, 272-pound defensive lineman ranks right at the top of the talent-rich state of Florida.
