The SEC Football schedule for the year 2020 was revealed on Wednesday.
Highlighting the reveal is a matchup pitting the two top teams in the SEC the past few years against one another. The Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide are set to meet in Week 3 of the 2020 season down in Tuscaloosa.
It will be UGA’s first trip to T-Town since all the way back in 2007, and just the third time the two teams have met in the regular season since ‘07. They’ve met three times in the postseason since then, including the 2012 SEC Championship Game, the 2018 College Football Playoff Championship Game and the 2018 SEC Championship Game.
Week 6 of the season features two premier rivalry games. Georgia faces off with the Auburn Tigers, while the LSU Tigers head to Gainesville to battle the Florida Gators. And speaking of that Auburn-Georgia matchup, that was pushed to Week 6, and the trade off now is that Auburn will have to face aforementioned LSU the week before the Iron Bowl. Seems reasonable, eh?
