Louisiana came out of the gate and put the first points on the board in Starkville against Mississippi State.

After that, it was all Bulldogs.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs will enter its SEC opener 3-0 after they manhandled the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns 56-10.

Nick Fitzgerald is officially back after his performance tonight. 243 yards through the air, completing 14 of his 21 passes, while rushing for a team-high 107 yards in the process.

Oh, he also had six total touchdowns as well (four rushing, two passing).

Kylin Hill only rushed for 32 yards on the night, but with Aeris Williams emerging with 101 yards, he didn't need to do all that much.

The 16th-ranked Bulldogs showed why they are ranked nationally on both sides of the ball. They out-gained Louisiana 607-310, as well as scoring a whopping eight touchdowns on the night (six rushing, two passing).

Despite 310 yards of offense seeming like a respectable total, the Bulldog defense held the Ragin’ Cajuns to just 10 points on the game.

A battle of the undefeated is ahead for Mississippi State, as it will head to Lexington to take on the 3-0 Kentucky Wildcats on what is likely to be a hostile environment.
