Monday morning brought good news to Joe Moorhead and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. State’s 2021 recruiting class received a high-caliber addition in the form of 4-star wide receiver Quincy Brown. A Class of 2021 standout, Brown announced his commitment to State on his personal Twitter account.

Brown is just the second player thus far to be part of the Bulldogs’ 2021 recruiting class. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound wideout joins fellow wide receiver Deion Smith, another 4-star talent, who committed all the way back in April.
Unlike Smith, Brown is not ranked in the Top 100 in the 2021 class at this juncture. While Deion is ranked 75th in the nation on 247Sports Composite’s Rankings, Brown sits 166th. That’s still a fine place to be, of course, make no mistake about it. And he also ranks 33rd amongst all wide receivers at this point. He’s 7th among all Louisiana recruits right now in what is a pretty stout class, headed by Maason Smith of Houma.
Prior to his commitment, Brown held offers from several top-flight programs. He chose Mississippi State over the likes of the Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, LSU Tigers, Texas A&M Aggies and Colorado Buffaloes, all of whom were in his Top 6.
