Auburn snagged two recruits on Friday, as Gus Malzahn landed one for 2018 and for 2019.

Four-star wide receiver George Pickens of Hoover, Alabama and three-star outside linebacker Josh Marsh of Decatur, Alabama committed to the Tigers on Friday. 247Sports’ Keith Niebuhr was first to report both commitments:

Marsh is the 2018 recruit that Malzahn landed, the ninth such recruit for his class to this point. Auburn’s class ticks up to 10th in the SEC and 44th in the nation with the addition of the three-star linebacker, who is the seventh player of that caliber in the class. He’s also the fourth player from Alabama, joining Kameron Stutts of Killen, Shedrick Jackson of Hoover and Kolbi Fuqua of Cordova. Marsh ranks 38th in the state and 75th overall at his position but is unranked on 247Sports Composite’s National Rankings.

Pickens, meanwhile, is the first 2019 commit for Malzahn. The Hoover native is one of the best players in the state, ranking fourth among all Alabama recruits in his class. He is in a group that includes five-star Clay Webb, the best player in the class for 2019, Amari Knight and Alabama Crimson Tide commit Pierce Quick, all of whom are offensive linemen. Pickens is just inside the Top 20 for receivers for 2019, ranking 19th at his position and is the 107th overall recruit in America in his class.
