Following three-star linebacker Cameron Wilkins’ commitment, Mizzou received more good news on Friday afternoon.
Fellow class of 2018 recruit Vincent Gray, a cornerback out of Rochester, Michigan, announced his commitment to Barry Odom and the Tigers on his personal Twitter account. Gray became the seventh commit for Odom in his class of 2018 as Missouri’s assembly of talent grew by two on Friday with Gray and Wilkins’ commitments.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 180 lbs., Gray is a lengthy cornerback to say the least. He ranks 57th among all corners in the class of 2018 and 13th overall in the state of Michigan. That puts him in the company of Northwestern commit Jason Whittaker of Rockford, Wisconsin commit Reggie Pearson Jr. of River Rouge and Michigan State commit Davion Williams of Belleville, all of whom are three-star recruits just like Gray.
The Adams High School rising senior is listed 631st overall for 2018.
Odom and the Tigers still have some work to do if they want to get themselves out of the cellar of the SEC’s 2018 recruiting rankings. Even with Gray and Wilkins in tow now, Mizzou still sits 14th out of 14 teams in the conference but still is in the Top 100, at least, now ranking 84th in the country. All seven commits that the Tigers have are three-stars.
However, they certainly did get better on Friday with Wilkins and now Gray, and more could be on the way if their camp produces a few more recruits on Friday and this weekend.
