Back on Tuesday, Florida reeled off their first of what’s now three commits this week (and counting) when four-star offensive guard Curtis Dunlap announced his commitment.

Dunlap became the Gators’ second-best commit for 2018 after joining the group, with four-star safety Amari Burney still leading the charge at the moment. Dunlap, an IMG Academy attendee, is no slouch himself however as he ranks as one of the best offensive guards in the nation.
He checks in sixth at his position, with five-star Pace Academy guard Jamaree Salyer leading that group, and Trey Hill of Warner Robins, Georgia, Ohio State commit Matthew Jones, Michigan commit Emil Ekiyor and Kentucky commit Marquan McCall placing 1-5. It’s safe to say that the one of the Gators’ newest commits finds himself in elite company.
Dunlap is ranked 39th among all recruits in the state of Florida and also finds himself ranked 203rd overall in the country.
Curtis is the first offensive lineman of the bunch, with Florida having emphasized defense and wide receivers primarily throughout their class. With recent adds Kyle Pitts and Dante Lang, Florida’s class is certainly coming together, ranking 40th in the country and eighth in the SEC at this point in time.
